European History Reloaded – project kick-off

On September 27th and 28th, 2018, all participating researchers from Umeå University’s HumLab (SE), the Institute of Contemporary History, Prague, and the Center of Television & Screen Cultures in Transition, will meet at Utrecht University to kick-off their European project European History Reloaded: Circulation and Appropriation of Digital Audiovisual Heritage (CADEAH). Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, the project team will shed light on how users engage with Europe’s audiovisual heritage online, once it is available.

The project is a follow up on the EUscreen Projects and involves the EUROPEANA foundation, EUROCLIO, the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History, the EUscreen Foundation and The Netherlands Institute of Sound and Vision as associate partners. The project is lead by Prof. Dr. Eggo Müller together with Dr. Abby Waysdorf who is UU’s postdoc on the project focusing on Digital ethnography of heritage appropriation and user’s identity work in her work package.
